12. (a) State whether the following statements are true or false, justifying your answer in each case: 6

(i) A lady claims that she call tell whether sugar was added first or milk was added first to a cup of tea (prepared with milk and sugar) by drinking just one sip. To test her claim, five cups of tea are given to her and she makes inference in each case. She turns out to be correct in three cases. Her claim is justified. (ii) A bank offers two kinds of fixed deposit schemes.
